Book 93 - A chinese Red Circle Book

Here's a funny little half-circle stab-bound book in Chinese red. I found more of that Chinatown paper stash I bought last year in Portland, Oregon and there was this pack of thin paper scalloped circles in yellow printed in red. I decided to use them for pages.

For the cover I cut out boards, covered them with a red decorative paper with metallic gold swirls on it and made hinges from red duct tape. Then I bound the whole thing with a modified cross-stitched Japanese stab binding.

This is going to be a very busy week for me. I'll be leaving Wednesday night for three weeks in Mexico. I'm taking a basic tool kit with me and a few materials so I can keep up with the challenge, but it's going to be more... well, challenging. Please check in here to keep me honest! I need the accountability!
