Here's another "store" book. While I was putting some packages of Top rolling tobacco on the shelf today, I found myself really looking at the packaging. (This seems to happen to me more and more lately. Wonder why.) I really saw how bright and nice the graphic on the package was and the interesting angle of the box when it was opened for display. So of course I reached for the scissors.
This book has a simple Japanese stab binding. The only thing that really sets it apart is the angle cut of the covers and pages. The stitching is done with heavy waxed red thread. This would be a cute little note-saver to have in a purse or pocket. And it will always remind you that "You're the Top."
I just went through all of your old posts and I have to say that I am completely impressed. You have an amazing talent and I love that you are pushing the definition of what a "book" is. Not Necessarily with this example, but definitely with a few of your others. Do you have any intention of selling the books you make at anytime?
